The anniversary post above was published in the Austin newspaper. A bit difficult to read due to the print, it reads: Mr and Mrs Martin McGreevy celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary Thanksgiving Day surrounded by their children and grandchildren. Of the seven children born to them, all were present at the anniversary, some coming from distant points to be in attendance. Sickness nor death have never darkened this home and the record is a remarkable one. The children presented the father and mother with $50 in gold and a beautiful leather rocking chair.
