Jakob Krebsbach was Barbara Krebsbach Schneider's oldest brother. He was born in Boos, Mayen-Koblenz, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany on 5, August 1851. Jakob was the first of his family to arrive in America. He departed from Rotterdam aboard the ship named W. A. Scholten and arrived in New York on 27, June 1878. He married a woman named Gertrude Krebsbach in Adams, Mower County, Minnesota in 1880. Jakob and Gertrude had 8 children and farmed near Adams. Jakob died 11, March 1901 and is buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Adams.
