
Peter Schneider was born on 11, May 1854 in a village named Lind bei Mayen in the Mayen-Koblenz District in the State of Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. He was the third child of four born to Micheal Schneider and Anna Catharina Konigs. Peter emigrated from Germany and arrived in New York on 30, April 1880. It is reported that Peter came to America to establish a residence and then would return to Germany for his fiance. He did return to Germany in 1887 to find his fiance had married his older brother, Johan. Peter did, however, return to America with a wife. He married his former fiance's younger sister, Barbara Krebsbach, in Antwerp, Belgium on 22, April 1887. Peter and Barbara made their home near Adams, Minnesota and had eleven children. Peter died on 28, January 1918 and is interred in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Adams, Minnesota.
Barbara Krebsbach was born 7, June 1867 in a village named Boos in Mayen-Koblenz, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. She was the tenth of eleven children born to Arnold Krebsbach and Catharina Meurer. Barbara died unexpectedly the night of 3, December 1908 at the Schneider home in Adams while giving birth to their eleventh child. That infant boy, named Francis, also died that night. They are interred, with Peter, in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Adams, Minnesota.

Peter Schneider is listed as #542. Above him, #537, is Barbara's older sister, Susanna Krebsbach. Susanna would go on to marry Henry Wegener in Illinois. and #s 538-541 is the family of Michael Simon, also from Boos. This family would settle in Johnsburg, Mower County, Minnesota.
